Rodeo Party

We had our Rodeo party one week late; last week it was rained out. The weather was questionable but since it wasn't raining we decided to go forward with it. We had a good turnout and other than the wind, it was a good day. Of course Henna was freezing the whole day and hung out by the grills. We had jalapeno poppers, chips and salsa for appetizers. I had made a Rum slush and it was a hit for Annie and I. Larry brought his bean bag toss and Ken of course had his horse shoes. Everyone brought a side dish to share. We had my Country music play list blaring. There were three entries for the Baking contest: A lemon, rum cake by Judie, an Apple Raisin Strudel by Annie and a Pear and Dried Cherry Frangipane by me. Judie's cake won!! It was Don's birthday and we all sang Happy Birthday. We had a great time. The next day was the final Rodeo and Ken, me, Justen and Bella were planning on going but it was a total rain out. :(
